Loxton is eighty kilometer’s West of Victoria West on the R 63 and is one of the Karoo Villages that has plenty of trees in town. The roads are lined with the hundred years old trees in town while narrow water channels are used to irrigate the resident’s gardens.

The typical vernacular Karoo architecture is seen at the century old original build houses while the oldest building, the original horse stable of the farm Phezantefontein is now part of the redundant power station.

The unique stone Corbelled houses are still found in the area and are shaped like the old- fashioned beehives without supporting roof beams. They were built consist solely of local stone by the early trekboers in the region of Loxton, Fraserburg, Williston and Carnavon.

Loxton is one of the two largest garlic- producing as well as one of major wool- producing areas in the country.

The very large stand of 11640 m² is located in the town while the services are provided but a septic tank must be installed.

Municipality building guidelines are in place with no time limit to build within. Rates & Taxes are estimated.
